Meeting wonderful Laura fans at our "Spero Plays Nyro" shows!

I am blown away by the reception we are being given for our new show "Spero Plays Nyro"  We performed it at the Towne Crier in Pawling and had a passionate, receptive audience then headed down the following week to NYC where the crowd at The Cutting Room elevated me to unbelievable heights!

I'd like to share some of the comments that have been coming in and encourage you to catch this show as there is no music like Laura Nyro's.

Just got back from The Cutting Room where I had the distinct pleasure of listening to Christine Spero and her esteemed quartet perform an evening of "Spero Plays Nyro". I admit that I was late to the dance with my appreciation of Laura Nyro's legacy, but once I caught up (several years ago) I was totally hooked. And Christine delivered this "Sacred Repertoire" with considerable skill, grace and humility. The sets were all composed of the "Operative" Nyro selections that one might expect. The best part is that while they played true to the spirit of the work, they interpreted and stretched wonderfully. That can be a very tricky feat and they nailed it. So if you're a Laura Nyro fan, A) we should talk and B) you might want to check Christine Spero and her band out while they're still performing this. I'm sure glad that I did!   BTW, they also performed one of Christine's original comps, "Laura & John" that just slayed the room!  Bill Brady

I couldn't have said it any better. And to add to this Christine is a person of open heart. It was pleasure to meet her, what a beautiful woman she is. There is good reason why this project is successful!
